I love Jesus and have had the privilege of knowing Him and serving Him since I was 21 years old. He had been pursuing me for many years and with a broken heart and messed up life I called out to Him and He was faithful to answer me. Jesus took out my heart of stone and game me a new heart and a new life. I am forever grateful to Him and treasure the privilege of helping others grow in their relationship with Him. Since that time I've loved serving Him in a variety of ministries including parachurch organizations, within my family and here at Calvary Chapel Visalia, my church home since 1993. I married my husband Marc in 1998 and we've loved raising our 3 children (Christian, Jonah and Ava) here in this body. Our church really is our home away from home and a part of what we consider family. My job now is to assist the Children's Ministry Director in carrying out her God-given vision for Children's Ministry and I love it! It is so neat to see so many willingly use their spiritual gifts to minister to the children....I think that's my favorite part of the job. We also have a lot of laughs and get to bless the children in so many ways in the hope of drawing them into a deeper relationship with Jesus. On a personal note...anyone who knows me knows that my favorite drink is coffee! My favorite books of the Bible are hard to pick, but the ones that I go back to continually are: Isaiah, Proverbs, Psalms and James. I also receive so much encouragement from the devotional, Streams in the Desert. Finally, my life verses are Isaiah 26:3-4, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord is everlasting strength." True peace and strength in all circumstances really can be found in Jesus Christ, who is trustworthy. My prayer is that I can share that truth with children and adults alike. :) |
