Calvary Chapel's Nursery – Nursery care is provided for infants, birth to 24 months. This ministry is offered concurrently with our Sunday School classes. Our goal is to provide a warm, safe environment for our very young children where they can begin their life as part of the Lord’s family. We believe that children are a gift from God, and our desire is to prefer them and minister to their little spirits. Nursery care is provided during all Sunday morning service and Wednesday evening service.
Calvary Chapel's Early Childhood & Sunday School – Early childhood care is provided for children ages 2 through Kindergarten, and Sunday School is provided for 1st through 6th graders. Both of these are large group ministries with an emphasis on fun with formal Biblical instruction. We currently use curriculum that enables us to systematically walk through the Bible. Our talented teams of teachers are responsible for applying the Word of God to the everyday lives of our children. Our staff strives to make Sunday mornings a time of love, laughter, and learning for all of our children.
Children's Ministry Wednesday Evening – Calvary Kids’ Bible Club (CKBC) – Calvary Kids’ Bible Club takes place on Wednesday evening and is offered for children ages three through 6th grade. The children are broken down into age groups. Three through five year olds are provided with lots of fun and an introduction to God’s Word. This class encourages the little ones to make scripture a part of their lives through various activities. First and second graders focus on friendship building and the Gospel message. The children are taught about Jesus through games and small peer-group interaction. Third and fourth graders focus on establishing a deeper relationship with God. They are taught to reach out to others through missions projects. Fifth and sixth graders participate in Club 56. Club 56 functions as a group of its own and works on transitioning the children from grade school to junior high.
Children's Ministry Vacation Bible School (VBS) – VBS is a yearly program offered the third week of July. VBS is free and open to all children ages three through sixth grade who wish to come. Each year there is a different, fun theme that the week focuses on. The goal of VBS is to reach out to each child by teaching them the Word of God. Throughout the week, children participate in games, crafts, Bible lessons, worship, and much more!
Children's Ministry Christmas Program – The Christmas Program is an annual program that our children put on. Each year, the children begin preparing for the production several months in advance, and it is culminated during the first part of the month of December with a big, exciting production. All children are welcome and encouraged to participate in the Christmas Program, and everyone, young and old are invited to attend.
Children's Ministry Pinewood Derby – The Pinewood Derby takes place each year in the late spring/early summer. The Pinewood Derby offers everyone from children to adults to seniors an opportunity to purchase and build their very own race car. There are church workdays held to assist everyone in making sure that their car is designed to their liking and to ensure that each car meets the race requirements. The day of the derby, the cars are raced within their designated age group, and prizes are awarded to the fastest cars and the most creatively designed cars. This event is a wonderful opportunity for our children to have fun and parents to fellowship!
Calvary Chapel's Miscellaneous Activities – Throughout the year, there are additional miscellaneous activities that are available for the children to participate in. These activities include various trips, a beach party during the summer, movie premieres, an opportunity to participate in building and riding on a parade float, bake offs, and opportunities to get involved in missions.
